Training Philosophy
Inland Sports Center, Inc. teaches innovative training techniques in the field of strength training and conditioning. Using state of the art equipment athletes train to enhance sports performance in areas of speed, power, agility and quickness. Regardless of your sport, our methods enhance every aspect of sport through specialized training of fast and slow twitch muscles fibers. Utilizing the SAID (specific adaptations to imposed demands) principle and a periodized model our coaches and athletes excel beyond the general boundary of sports performance.
ISC's program design emphasizes a dynamic general and specific warm-up to allow athletes to facilitate muscle coordination and flexibility. Within the movement phase athletes then train specifically in areas of lateral quickness, acceleration, change of direction exercises, posture and stride. Here athletes are taught essential skills to improve sprinting often thought to be innate. At ISC we train to prevent our athletes from injury. Through preventative technical work, athletes have the opportunity to learn flexibility exercises to improve range of motion, train the core to support athletic movements, develop understanding and application of plyometric exercises, and continue preventative exercises related to the joints and musculature of the body.
Our coaches teach necessary skills to prevent injury by improving flexibility, coordination and stability. Our methods help make movements relative to an athlete’s sport. Keeping athlete’s healthy and strong is as important as increasing performance. Success is not measured in the offseason, but it is where champions are made. Inland Sports Center… WHERE CHAMPIONS TRAIN!
